Lego story #051: Vikings! (Part 2 of 6)

Kicking off the 21343 Viking Village build with a smithy.

The village is made of three sections: Smithy, Chieftain's Longhouse, and Watchtower. In this post, we'll see the smithy built.

The instruction manual has a nice logo on the back. It's a reference to set 31132, Viking Ship and Midgard Serpent.

And here we go! Bag 1 prepares the foundation.

Bag 2 adds the smithy and rocky terrain.

There's a working forge. If you press a lever, twin flames jump in the air.

The smithy interior has an unpainted shield and helmet, tools, candle, anvil, and bucket of water.

The forge chimney is beautiful; I paused for some time to admire it from different angles.

This wood paneling looks great.

Bag 3 adds a roof and two different kinds of trees.

The blacksmith at work.

The barrel is now full. Sword, pickaxe, hatchet, and a black metal bar.

I love that excitement on the blacksmith's face. She's a happy creator.

The stone face beside her is engraved with another reference to the 31132 Viking Ship and Midgard Serpent.

Next post: Chieftain's longhouse, where the people party.
