It's pink, it's pretty, it's all I could want of a Wicked set! 75683 Glinda and Elphaba's Dormitory is an exquisitely detailed slice of dollhouse.
The classy exterior itself is worthy of display. It's a model of one of Glinda's luggage trunks. Atop sit three items: a pink flower, a pink round box, and a green bottle.
I think it's a hat box. And surprise, surprise, it's actually an extra storage space! Just big enough to fit the minidolls, their alternate outfits, accessories, and trunk key.
I'm not sure if the pink flower here is a ranunculus, the one given by Glinda to Elphaba after the song Popular.
The green bottle might be the elixir Elphaba's mum drank and which caused her daughter to be green.
And here's a key that locks and unlocks the luggage trunk. Just to show you how large it is . . .
Now, on to a very detailed interior. I've removed the roof so you can better see.
Like in the movie, most of the dormitory room is occupied by Glinda's belongings.
Elphaba's corner (see below) looks much nicer in the Lego set than in
the movie set. I'm not sure what the significance of the blue flower is.
But the green bottle is the aforementioned elixir.
I'm normally
not a fan of Lego stickers, but that sticker on the nougat-colored wall
depicting a glass window is just superb! And I love the gold lamps
flanking that window, made from two kinds of flower parts.
Here's Glinda's corner, pretty obvious from the pink. She has a new style of Lego bed I've not encountered before, plus an awesome lampshade made from a pink flower.
The center of the dorm room is chock-full of Glinda's stuff. I like how the square boxes and round hat boxes are stacked messily.
In the center is a revolving table of perfumes, I think.
Turn the table and there's a surprise QR code! I guess everything has a QR code these days . . . This one takes you to the song "Popular," which is sung on the scene of this set.
Drawers with a mirror and pink flower. The green tile is an invitation letter from the Wizard.
Hairbrush, indispensable. In the drawers below are a purple ribbon and pink flower you can attach to the girls' hair.
Now for top-down views.
While the room's details are hard to appreciate from a distance, the closed luggage makes a great display set. I got a lot of pleasure out of building and displaying this one!
