60426 Jungle Explorer Off-Road Truck.
The star of this set is a magnificent tiger.
The jungle build is much better here than what we got in the lesser panda set. It comes with a green frog, too -- see if you can spot it! Also, there are two bones on the ground, though you can't see it clearly in my photos.
The tiger's neck and hind legs have a wide range of articulation.
Here's the crew. We get the same fedora-wearing Jungle Explorer from the lesser panda set.
The other male Jungle Explorer is a vet or doctor. He has a stethoscope and medical gloves.
The female explorer wears a knotted shirt and necklace. I felt she was lackluster.
The off-road truck can sit 2 minifigs under the roof and stand 2 or 3 in the open back.
The mechanical arm holds a video camera and what looks like a microphone. The arm can be moved and pivoted on two ball joints.
Within the truck is a computer panel (depicted by a sticker). It shows a video recording of the tiger.
On the dashboard is a compass.
Tailgate that opens. Along the sides of the truck are black bars that a minifig could hold onto.
A few other angles:
Metal trunks on each flank can be used to store accessories.
And there are lots of accessories! Drone with camera, remote control, regular camera, binoculars, water bottle, compass, map to the tiger, medical kit, and a banana for snacking on.
Again, the box art is fantastic; I just had to include photos of it here.
Maps to the tiger and lesser panda. If you collect all four maps and place them together, they form a larger picture.
The jungle builds connect by bar-and-clip.
The Jungle Explorer sets look good together, thanks to consistent theme colors of orange, dark blue, and white.
I was stoked to receive Off-Road Truck as a gift from my husband. Miss S watched me open it and asked if she could help build. Although she lacked patience to stick to the assembly, I enjoyed watching her play with loose pieces.
I said she could play with my Jungle Explorer collection (with supervision). Since I don't play with sets I build, it would be a wasted opportunity if they simply remained on display. I'm glad I decided to share some of my Lego with Miss S. As always, she surprises me with her ideas on how to make use of things . . . More about that in my third and final Jungle post.
