Lego story #071: My Minecraft adventure (Part 3)

How the wind howled between the snowy peaks!

Meet the cast of our tragic play
Steve in green, Stray in gold
creepy Creeper and grumpy Goat.

21243 The Frozen Peaks features a snow-capped mountain and cave.

A cheerful yellow bed and tiny red mushrooms brighten this cave, which serves as Steve's base.

Chest contains a sword, two pieces of bread, and cherries.

On the wall is Steve's new Ikea clock. Or not. I have no idea what it is, pardon my absence of Minecraft knowledge.

The tan and black studs might be mineral ores.

A satisfyingly blocky tree, providing shade to what looks like brown mushrooms.

Every morning, Steve puts his back into that pickax. And with a bucket he gathers snow (or milks the Goat?).

He's got TNT ready for intruders on his doorstep. Or for terraforming the mountain.

Here's the main gimmick of this set. Press a "lever" and make the mountain go boom.

Whoops. Now his home is missing a wall.

Here's another gimmick. The Goat can be slid back and forth on a snowy platform . . .

. . . knocking a Stray off the cliff! (In case you were wondering whose side the Goat's on.)

The Frozen Peaks set is small but has much potential for play.

I took the liberty of decorating my cave with a tiled floor; the inspiration came from 21134 The Waterfall Base. Threw in a gold sword, torches, and bunch of potions.

Thanks for stopping by Steve's home in these frosty peaks.

The crash of Creeper
Fallen to earth
Smothered in snow
Silenced in death

Behold the triumph of the Goat!
How sweet is victory
and fresh, chilled milk.
